Webex Calling - Ability to retrieve deleted voicemails

We have customers asking for the ability to retrieve deleted voicemails.

    Being able to recover/undelete a voice message, within the message retention window would be needed for Compliance purposes, along with the other point(s) mentioned below (i.e. it is a standard is about every other modern telephony system including CUCM/Unity, and mistakes happen and it is folly to assume that every voicemail account is receiving a copy of the message in their email account).

    This is a standard feature in every other phone system. Mistakes happen.

    This should be considered "table stakes" as some of my colleagues like to put it.

    Every other phone system including mobile phones - have some sort of voicemail deletion folder before they are purged. It is easy to accidentally delete voicemails and there's a delete all option that users may accidentally press. Users should have recourse for this, they are used to it.

    Hi - I can think of many use cases:


    • This is the way their previous phone system operated (webex app supports this feature when integrated with UCM even)

    • Users may accidently delete a voicemail via telephone user interface - there is no prompt to verify you want to delete after pressing 7

    • In the Webex app there is no indication that the voicemail is permanently deleted, the prompt only asks if you are sure you want to delete.

    • Users are used to being able to "un-delete" other business communications like email

    We have had customer that has had several users accidentally delete voicemails from webex calling and want to retrieve it.

    On behalf of Silpa Uppalapati's review, please provide more information on the use case/scenario where the end user/admin wants to retrieve deleted voicemails. Status changed to need more info.
