Webinar Scheduling Needs Tweaking

Schedulers who use WebEx Events for scheduling lectures must change to the new webinar by March 2023. Webinar is missing, key scheduling features, previously available in WebEx Events. Please make available the following features previously available in WebEx Events.

  1. Add a Panelist Info field- this was previously available in WebEx Events so attendees could clearly see the title, presenter, and behavioral objectives for the lecture. The workaround is to add it to the agenda.

  2. Add the ability to upload a Panelist Headshot. A feature previously available in WebEx Events. This was visible to attendees when they clicked and landed onto the log-in page.

  3. Webinar should have (3) distinct url addresses. This allows a scheduler to check and view what an attendee can see. Even adding yourself as a attendee does not work as you are then prompted to start the event.

    @si meng:

    1 and 2: We do not require advanced registration as we want to limit barriers to attending our event. Registration would hinder those who decided to drop in at the last minute.

    3: I did paste the join link and it recognizes my account and automatically tries to start the event. As I work for the federal government and they have numerous security measures, I do not have the administrative rights to use that function.

    1. does your event require registration? if so, you can upload panelist image and info from the branding page. It's a much modern page.

    2. Same as #1

    3. As a host, you can open a web page in cognito mode, paste the join link, and watch as an attendee view.
