CHAT – ‘AUTO-SAVE' - Enable Auto-Save in “Preference setting” or pop-up window option in Webex tool while closing the session.

Problem statement: Functionality not available to retrieve the historical chat(name or date) with Auto-save feature.


Disadvantage : Important chat history will be lost, if the information not saved manually.

Solution : Enable Auto-Save in “Preference setting” or pop-up window option in Webex tool while closing the session.


Benefits : This will avoid in losing the important information shared on the Webex chat.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AS ON 09/25/20
Currently only manual option is available to save the chat as shown in the attachement. If the session is closed mistakenly the chat content is lost completely. So I propose to enable an “Auto-Save” option which will help to retrieve the chat history from the specified auto saved location.

Proposed: “Chat Auto-Save” option control can be made available under “Preferences” settings for user control will help.

    Optionally, just prompt the meeting host whether they would want to save the chat before closing the meeting.

    This is an important and basic feature and should be given as an option.

    The auto-save for chat and Q&A is definitely needed. Today, if you are the main meeting host and are sharing your screen, you can't hit save at any point while you are sharing. And unfortunately, even if as host you remember to save the chat once you stop sharing, if you have designated any co-hosts and they end the meeting before you can save, the chat is lost.
